Gym Amigo helps users plan workouts, track fitness progress, sync Apple Watch activity, manage nutrition, save progress photos, and connect with coaches or friends.

Information We Collect

Account information We may collect your name, email address, username, and profile details.

Contact information We may collect contact information you choose to provide, such as phone number, Instagram handle, WhatsApp contact, website URL, or other contact links used for coach and client communication.

Health and fitness information We may collect workout activity, exercise logs, heart rate, active energy, calories, steps, Apple Watch workout data, training goals, progress records, hydration, nutrition entries, and related fitness metrics.

Location information When you use outdoor workout or route tracking features, we may collect precise or approximate location data used to record and display workout routes.

Photos and videos We may collect photos or videos you choose to add, such as progress photos, profile images, check-in photos, meal photos, or other app-related images.

User content We may collect workout notes, coaching check-ins, shared workouts, reports, challenge activity, goal entries, and other information you choose to create in the app.

Identifiers We may collect identifiers such as your app user ID, account ID, push notification token, and device platform information.

How We Use Information

We use your information to provide core app functionality, including account access, workout planning, progress tracking, Apple Watch sync, HealthKit integration, nutrition tracking, photo storage, coaching features, friend features, push notifications, and account support.

HealthKit and Apple Health Data

Gym Amigo may read data from Apple Health and HealthKit with your permission, such as workouts, heart rate, energy, and related fitness metrics. Gym Amigo may also write completed workouts or workout-related data to Apple Health with your permission.

HealthKit data is used only to provide health and fitness features inside Gym Amigo. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, tracking, or selling to third parties.

Location Data

Location data is used to support outdoor workout tracking, route display, route summaries, and related fitness features. Location data is not used for advertising or tracking.

Photos and User Content

Photos and user content are used only for features you choose to use, such as profile images, progress photos, check-ins, meal review, coaching, sharing, and fitness progress records.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

We may use service providers such as Supabase and Expo to operate authentication, cloud storage, database features, push notifications, and app infrastructure. These providers process data only as needed to support Gym Amigo functionality.

Coaching and Social Features

If you use coach, client, friend, sharing, challenge, or contact link features, some information you choose to share may be visible to connected users inside Gym Amigo.

Account Deletion

You can request or perform account deletion through the app where available. Account deletion removes associated cloud account data such as profile, coaching, social, workout sharing, avatar, check-in, and onboarding data. Apple Health data stored in Apple Health is controlled by you through Apple Health and device settings.

Children

Gym Amigo is not intended for children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
